Delegates will explore the Siddeley Street trenchless works within the CBD–Docklands sewer upgrade. Spanning approximately 750m, from Flinders Lane through Siddeley Street to Wurundjeri Way, the project augments sewer capacity beneath a dense urban environment. Delivered by Aqua Metro via tunnel boring, it highlights real-world planning and coordination challenges in trenchless engineering, from stakeholder engagement and traffic management to heritage and community considerations. This visit offers insight into how complex underground infrastructure upgrades are executed with minimal surface disruption.
