Lifeline Charity Partner

WA Mining Conference and Exhibition (WAME) has named Lifeline as the official charity partner for 2026.

At Lifeline WA, we’re here for every Western Australian, every hour of every day.

We exist to prevent suicide, support people in crisis, and break down the stigma that stops people from reaching out for help. Every connection can save a life, and our highly trained Crisis Supporters are here to answer the call when someone needs it most.

Every 30 seconds, someone in Australia reaches out to Lifeline. In the 2024–25 financial year, Lifeline WA responded to over 163,000 calls, texts, and online chats from people in need. By 2029, this number is expected to exceed 200,000 conversations each year.

People contact Lifeline for many different reasons. Some are experiencing suicidal thoughts or may have made an attempt. Others are living with anxiety or depression, or struggling with feelings of loneliness and isolation. Many reach out while dealing with the impacts of trauma or abuse, or when the pressures of work, family, or wider societal stresses feel overwhelming. For some, it’s about navigating a deeply personal crisis or moments of emotional distress, while others are seeking guidance on how best to support a loved one in need.

At Lifeline WA, we hold a firm belief: almost all suicides are preventable. With the right support at the right time, lives can be saved.
